An important part of your job search preparation is research. When you research an industry, company, or occupation, you gain the information you need to decide the direction of your job search. Research can be done on occupations, industries, individual companies, availability of jobs in your area, occupational outlook and on other subjects.
If you intend to be a serious candidate for a management, professional, or executive position, you should never go to an interview without reviewing the material available on the company, key executives, the industry, markets, major competitors and outlook.
