Canada Job Search & XML RSS Feeds
RSS/XML technology is relatively new. You may not be familiar with the concept and/or how to incorporate it into your job search. We have prepared a brief introduction to RSS, Reader/Aggregators, and how to create a RSS Feed specific to your employment needs. Not many job banks and employment services offer XML RSS presently. The technology is growing rapidly and most sites for managers, professionals and executive will be forced to add this service to remain competitive.
The XML/RSS Feeds Directory is a list of links to Career Advice and Employment Sites offering XML or RSS Feeds. The Career Tips & Advice category contains links to sites offering Career, Employment, Salary and other Information in the RSS format.
The Employment Site category contains links to job search sites offering job vacancies and employment advertising in the RSS format. Certain of these sites are designated as "Custom" which means that you can save very specific search criteria as your feed. For example, you could create a feed for Senior Human Resource Manager in the Manufacturing Sector in Toronto, Ontario and have those jobs, and only those jobs, delivered to your desktop. The technology can save you time and effort and make your job search more efficient. Once you add a RSS Reader to your desktop, you can use the RSS Directory or one of the other employment site directories to locate the feeds best suited to your requirements.
The numbers following each topic represent the number of links typically found in that category. Several Job Meta Search Engines and the larger Career Sites offer XML services so most Canadian job seekers will find at least one or two sites that fit their requirements.
