The College and University Directory is a comprehensive list of links to Colleges, including Community Colleges, and Universities in the United States and Canada. This Directory is a key resource for individuals seeking academic employment. Colleges and Universities are an excellent, but often overlooked, resource in any management, professional or executive job search. Most Colleges have a Placement or Career Center and offer a variety of job search services and employment resources including teaching & non-academic positions available, local or national job postings, career links, and links to resume and interviewing advice. Don't forget your college alumni/ae association as a useful job search networking resource. You could tap into the network represented by all the other people who attended the same school. Some College and University Career Centers or Alumni Associations are now offering lists and databases specifically designed for career and employment networking. These lists contain individuals that have volunteered to help and assist alumni to find employment. Many College and University Career Centers are expanding the services offered to graduates or members of the local community. Some now offer career counseling and seminars on specific aspects of the job search process. At a minimum your job search should include a visit to your college web site and the web sites of any colleges in your target job location. The College Directory is organized by state or province and includes links to more than 2,500 Sites. The numbers following the state listings represent the number of links typically found in each category. Additional links are added on a regular basis.
